Heavy Duty Truck "Pre-Charged" Extended Life Antifreeze
MAXSAFE premium quality Heavy Duty Extended Life Antifreeze / engine coolant for use in heavy duty trucks and almost virtually any vehicle. This engine coolant is formulated to meet ASTM D6210 and TMC RP-329 (EG). The chemistry is compatible with Valvoline® G-05 (Mercedes®, Ford® & Chrysler® factory fill), Fleetguard® ES Compleat® and other hybrid technology coolants. This type of coolant is sometimes referred to as “heavy duty extended life”or “HOAT”.
Understanding Heavy Duty Antifreeze
There are essentially 3 types of antifreeze:
- Automotive
- For use in automotive applications — not for heavy-duty diesel truck or “wet sleeve” applications.
- Heavy Duty
- Can be used as a base for heavy-duty diesel applications as long as the proper Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCA's) are added to the antifreeze.
- Heavy Duty antifreeze may state that it is suitable for heavy duty applications, but you need to read the fine print, as it will not adequately protect a “wet-sleeved” engine from cavitation and pitting unless the appropriate SCA's are added to the antifreeze. Be sure to read the label of the product you are using in your trucks.
- Heavy Duty Pre-charged
- “Pre-Charged” or “fully formulated” Heavy Duty antifreeze is ready for use and has the formulation (Supplemental Coolant Additives – SCA’s) to adequately protect “wet-sleeved” OEM diesel engines.
- If you have a mixed fleet, you should know that heavy-duty and pre-charged heavy-duty antifreeze is also compatible for use in automotive applications.
- All of MAXSAFE’S Heavy Duty Antifreeze is “fully formulated / pre-charged”.

MAXSAFE Extended Life Antifreeze used as directed, will result in an antifreeze/engine coolant that may be used in virtually any engine cooling system. This technology is well proven over decades of use, and is essentially engineered to resemble the extended life coolants used in some heavy-duty vehicle plants as factory fill. MAXSAFE Extended Life Antifreeze meets, ASTM D6210, TMC RP-329 (EG), ASTM D6471 (prediluted) specifications. If used as directed, MAXSAFE Heavy Duty Extended Life is designed compatible with and will provide satisfactory performance in most cars and trucks, including (but not limited to) the following:
